The road for Noah Westbury has been carved out for him, long before he knew who his father was. Making sure he worked hard to deserve the opportunities provided to him, Noah is exactly where he dreamed of being - starting QB for Portland Pioneers. Together with a Victoria Secret's model girlfriend by his side, life couldn't get much better. Except for the fact that standing in his path is Peyton Powell-James, his life-long friend and the one woman he can never have.

Peyton Powell-James always knew her future would be in football and dreams of having a successful sports journalism career once she graduates college. After being given an assignment to cover a professional game from the sidelines, Peyton believes that everything is going to plan, until one fateful night changes her life.

Harsh reality sets in for Noah and Peyton. One could lose everything, while the other one struggles to keep the families together.

I had been anxiously waiting to read this since reading 'Forever Our Boys', and the anxiety was real. I just wanted this book in my hands so I could read it and find out what happened.

Most of my reading experience of this book was not pleasant, I mean I enjoyed reading this book, of course. But seriously it was kind of stressful (and that will happen to all those who have been following this series and characters since the beginning and are invested in them, because we know how truly heartbreaking these events are); there's more anxiety, I was on the hedge of my seat waiting for the shoe to drop, there's a lot of sadness going on, about almost 50% of the book is truly heartbreaking to read, and you seriously don't know what the outcome will be when it comes to Peyton.

The other 50 % isn't much better, it's not as heartbreaking, it's more frustrating than anything. Noah kind of pissed me off with his no decision making and all that he was willing to let happen without even questioning Dessie.

“Dessie and I broke up, Peyton, because I’m in love with you. Now before you say anything, hear me out. I have felt this way… well for as long as I can remember. Unfortunately, it took almost losing you for me to open my eyes. I realized I’m with Dessie for all the wrong reasons and the feelings I have for her, pale in comparison to what I feel for you. We have a ton of hurdles if we want to give us a chance. That is, if you want to try this.” Her ear-to-ear grin is all I need. I press my lips to hers. It’s a chaste kiss at first until she opens her mouth and I slip my tongue inside. I keep it brief though, out of fear her parents may walk by. I need to do the right thing and talk to Katelyn and Harrison, ask for their permission to be with her. The last thing I want is to be the cause of a family rift, but I’m in love with their daughter and have been for a long time. I hope they can accept that and give us their blessing.

There's a moment when you think it will finally happen and then BAM. Everything is in waters again.

There's a bit of drama involving secondary bitch characters *cough* Dessie *cough*. I hated her, every time she was mentioned or appeared, I hated it. This part was all very cliché and all, you could totally tell how most things would play out from there.

“So here’s the deal. I’m going to chase you, woo you, romance you, and beat your ass at Madden because you know I can. And when I’m done, I want you to look me in the eyes and tell me you don’t feel the same way. I’m in love with you, Peyton. It’s crazy, ridiculous and unconventional, and it may have taken an accident for me to see the light, but I’m not fighting it.”

The ending of the book was very cute but I still feel like we didn't get enough Neyton (?? no name sounds right, but Neyton is better than Poah right?!). The last couple of chapters when they finally got together were all so sweet, I loved them. So, I'm extremely excited for little glimpses of these two on future books. I hope they are coming soon.

He searches for the condom, ripping the package open and sliding the rubber over his hard-on. “This will be fast, Captain. I’ve been waiting for this to happen again since your prom.” “Really?” Noah answers by pushing himself into my sex and pausing. “You have no idea. I’ve waited for a long time for you, Peyton.” Not as long as I have, Noah. “I’m yours now,” I tell him as I cup his face. He tilts his head and kisses my palm as he slides into me. My eyes close from the sensation.

Sometime during the night, he whispers, “I love you. I’m going to love you forever.” “Same,” I reply.

Speaking of the ending, the last paragraph, oh man! It was perfect! I loved how the book ended. It made me happy :') I have to share it...

She covers her face once more, hiding the tears I know she’s shedding. But it’s in that moment where I’m watching her and she’s watching me, that the sky opens up and the sun starts to shine, and everyone in my family turns their faces toward the warmth, welcoming Mason to the game.

In this book, you get a lot of possible couple ideas and I hope to God they happen!! Also, I'm very curious about what or who Elle has been hiding.
